Safety Registration

To obtain a Safety Registration Number in New York City, applicants must submit their applications online at nyc.gov/dobnow. This registration is required to file applications and obtain permits for various construction, alteration, and demolition projects. Applicants must submit a completed LIC7 application via email, and upon review, upload the necessary supporting documents through the DOB NOW Portal. Required documents include notarized application forms, proof of insurance, identification, and proof of business address. Additional documentation may be required for corporations, LLCs, and sole proprietors. Once all documentation is approved, applicants can schedule an appointment to receive their Safety Registration Number card and pay the applicable endorsement fees through the portal.
